Starting and stopping  printers and TCP/IP services. 

You will want  to stop and restart these services for unexplained problems that effect these services. Stopping and restarting these services to avoid a reboot.

Stopping printer services.
Login as root and at the # sign type /usr/lib/lpshut to stop the printer services.

Starting printer services.
Login as root and at the # sign type /usr/lib/lpsched to start the printer services.

Stopping TCP/IP services.
Login as root and at the # sign type tcp stop to stop the TCP/IP services.

Starting TCP/IP services.
Login as root and at the # sign type tcp start to start the printer services.
