Adding a user to Unix

Login as root
scoadmin
Menu driven program (adding users, printers, networks, hardware, kernel tuning)
account manager Select it.
users
Select it.
add new user Select
it
enter user name return
return on user ID
press return till you get to OK then press return.
press return on enter a new password, then enter new password, then go to OK press return.
exit scoadmin
cd /usr/xxxx xxxx=user name
type the following
vi .profile
using your arrow key goto the bottom
If you are using the the SCOSH (i.e. the menu driven program with calender )
press o then type exec scosh
press return then type exit 0
If you are logining in and going directly in to the software.
press o then type exec gocri
press return then type exit 0
press esc 2 times and then shift zz
then test
Adding a user to filepro
Login as filepro, go to system wide setup and select Create Modify User. Select add
user.
Enter in the users name just like you did when it was added to unix See above. Press
enter on the password field for no password for this user, if needed enter the password
for this user and press enter. Type in the names of the printers this user needs, and set
MrIDA flags. Press Esc Esc to record the screen. Select the modules this user needs to
have access too. Press X to exit. Select each module and change the access level (0-9), 0
being the lowest level and 9 having access to everything. Select the module enter a number
(0-9) See below and press Esc Esc to record. Press X to exit.
