Using the fPserver Configuration Editor:

The properties settings for fPserver can be edited directly with the fPserver administration program. To edit either the prop.server file or any of the config.username property files:

  • The displayed entries consist of the specified keys and values as well as any default entries which have not been overriden. When the entries are saved to a file only those entries which are additional to or different from the default entries will actually be written out to the file. You can then change any setting by clicking on the Value you want to change and editing the text. A new entry or change is not completed until enter is pressed. See how the Value you have selected to edit is enclosed in a thicker box and the property is highlighted:
  • If you decide you do not want to make the changes before you save them, you can select File then reset and all of the changes that you made will revert back to the original values:
  • You can save your changes by clicking on File and then save:
  • If you would like you can also load a config.username file, make changes to it, and save it to a different using the File then saveAS drop-down menu selection, the Save As Dialog box will appear and you can specify a different name:

  • and then click on Save.
  • To exit the Configuration Editor select File then Exit using the editors top menu:
